This was done
during a series of Iris
paintings. I was
perusing a bulb
catalog when I came
across this
wonderful hue of
Iris. I was used to
the standard colors
of purple, yellow,
and white. These
caught my eye so I
ordered some,
planted them, and
painted them when
they bloomed.
